We are working on a new MTO section for the site, but I wanted to write about exactly what Made To Order means, and how we apply it to a customers wants and needs. We can build a shoe for just about anyone. Width and lengths range greatly, and we actually build our lasts to your foot, so that we know that the product going to you will fit just right.
Our new site is a step forward for the brand, we wanted to offer customers ready to ship product. This means that if an item is showing "Add To Cart" we have it and will be able to ship within a day of your order. If it is showing "Made To Order" then we have to make that item, and the 3-4 week MTO time frame will apply.
Customers going for a Made To Order purchase should always send a foot tracing in, unless they already know their size in our lasts. Once the order is placed we will contact you to begin the process. We'll tell you where to send the tracing and also walk you through how to do it, so that it's right on when we get it.
Next is the actual make up of the shoe. We can source just about any leather from any tannery in the world. If you work with what we have on hand, we can get your MTO pair done within 2-3 weeks. If we have to soruce materials from a new vedor or hunt them down in some dark alley somewhere, the lead time will be longer. We can let you know what that will be off the bat so that you can plan accordingly.
Once the materials are in we will begin production and MTO pairs get priority in production, so things should move quickly from this point on. We often will snap photos or video of customers shoes being worked on, be sure to follow us on all our social media accounts to make sure not to miss yours.
When the shoes are ready they will ship FedEx and be to you within a few days. That's it. What ever you are thinking, we want to make it. See the slideshow above for some photos of others MTO designs!
